Gala for Giving is an event production company born from the idea of two friends and Bay Area moms who share a passion for shopping, fashion and event planning. Combining those with their desire to give back to the community, Janet Falkner and Gretchen Thomas decided to launch Gala for Giving. Janet's wedding industry and event planning background and Gretchen's prior career in Human Resources were the perfect balance. The company has become a great avenue for them to do what they love. They plan fabulous events and donate a portion of the proceeds to local charities.

Gala for Giving's shopping events provide a forum for local designers to showcase their collections to a vibrant shopping community on the Peninsula. Shoppers have the opportunity to meet the designers face to face and take advantage of special event prices. Local boutiques may browse for new and exciting talent for their stores.
